My list of desired jobs:
a)
I am sure that I am able to
do jobs from 1-5, because I have managed all my business life, as
an
entrepreneur and director. I know how to deal
with people, how to earn authority, how to respect and command at
the same time. I
supervise
and control with discretion like a hawk eye,
and I control myself too.
I choose Assistant
positions because it is a new area and I have to learn some specific things from
position above me. I am ready to learn!
About positions 3 and 4, I think that on board
it's just
routine,
and contracts with
suppliers and to do
this jobs I must insert into that.
For position 5. is
written – supervise housekeeping. I am concluding – Hawk eye without working
time.
Am I right? b) Other job positions show that I want to work any job I can get. I am not afraid of work, but naturally wish to obtain better job with better salary. About Carpenter: I didn't learn to be a carpenter. I only have made frames for pictures and wooden souvenirs (with pictures I can send to you by email) and I am skilled with various tools.
Also, I am interested to work overtime if the position allows. I
think that our advantage is desired throughout our duration of our
contracts because training someone for short time is bad investing.
Naturally it depends of position. My Character and Personal Attributes
Now I'll give you a short review
of good things in my character ( from my angle and experience,
naturally)
My Background
I was born 24.07.1955. in
Zupanja, Croatia.
I
Finished grammar school and one
year
of Economic and
Turistic
at the
University of Dubrovnik.
I
Finished
a
catering course for private
entrepreneurs on Dubrovnik catering school too!
(1975).
My
studies were
interrupted
because I started to work
as an entrepreneur.
It
was a
cafe/restaurant on
half island Peljesac near Dubrovnik.
There, I
had
worked three seasons.
Afterwards, I
had
opened
a
cafe bar in the Old Town of Dubrovnik.
After a year I
opened the second one, in the Old Town too.
Then,
I married my first wife,
and
then
divorced after two years.
Because of
my divorce, I sold everything and
left Dubrovnik.
I
then made my way to Belgrade (Serbia) and started trading with
custom seized cars.
The year
was 1985, and it was former Yugoslavia where one
may not have a bigger private business.
In
1989, I
had
met my second wife and after two
years
went to her town Valjevo. But it was a time when the war
began.
It was
a very difficult time, Croatia and Serbia, two sides in war and my wife from Serbia, and I from Croatia just married! Very nice.
Well,
because the show must go on...
In 1992, I started
set up a
private business again and
opened food
& beverages retail store with companion.
In
1994,
my wife and I decided
to open our own business and founded a commercial enterprise for
wholesale and retail. Our basic
product that we had sold were ciggaretes.
These years were chaotic, same for living and doing business. So many
laws changed through the night, and again,
and again. I had great luck
because my wife
was a very
good bookkeeper.
The value of money changed very
often. However, this was also a time when, if you had a big and brave heart to risk you could earn a lot of money in a short period of time. Well, I risked and our enterprise grew. In 1999. we hired 22 employees. ( average salary in Serbia then was about 50$ monthly). But, but, but... then started the big war in Kosovo and one day police came into our enterprise and took racket. They took over 1000 kilograms of cigarettes for Serbian Army on Kosovo. We weren't the only one's who paid among the private companies.
That was too big shock for us
because through the years we invest and invest.
We were on
our knees.
While we
tried to figure out what to do to save our
business,
the NATO bombing had occured. Three months. From the first day you cannot buy any cigarettes in free trade. Only one goverment company sold on time to time like medicine. People were frightened and buying only elementary food. The goverment proclaimed a law that enterprises are not allowed to fire employees and are required to pay a monthly salary. After that, three months of bombing stopped, but people did not know what the future would hold for them. Smart bombs destroyed industry. We couldn't trade with our basic products and food stock ( chocolates, candies, etc) passed «best for use» time mostly, and we still had to pay all salaries. It was too much and in june 2000. we end up broke and bankrupt. Soon after, we then proceeded to Croatia, and headed to my fathers house. There, we took some time to relax our minds and our souls and started from begining. We couldn't find a job because we were over 40 years old. There were so many people unemployed. So, I had started to create handmade souvenirs just to cover our monthly expenses. It wasn't a good solution for our daily lives, I am sure that you can now see why my wire and I would like to obtain jobs on a cruise ship.
My wife is

and Montenegro, am
I am a
resident of Croatia. As you can see, this novel is focused on me. We think that because of language fluency, I might have a better chance for a better job than my wife. Her name is Dara Sobot-Toldi, born 13.060.1959. in Vucitrn ,Kosovo,Serbia. She is an excellent bookkeeper and accountant, but, what a pity, she only knows a few words in English. She is a very communicative person but must learn the English language. Also she is diligent and very good in housekeeping jobs and kitchen. We ask you to suggest about job choice for her.
Please contact me if a job opening for both my wife and myself should arise! Thank you very much, Tibor Toldi Email: ferenc.toldi@vk.htnet.hr
